The home received a complete exterior upgrade, beginning with a new asphalt shingle roof to provide long-term protection against the elements. All existing windows were replaced with Andersen 400 Series windows, improving energy efficiency while maintaining a clean, timeless aesthetic.

To further enhance durability and curb appeal, we replaced all siding on both the main residence and detached garage with vinyl shake siding, giving the property a refined coastal character that fits seamlessly into its lakeside environment.

One of the most critical components of this project involved repairing the existing seawall. Because this work could only be performed during Candlewood Lake’s annual drawdown, when water levels temporarily drop from their summer operating range of approximately 427'–430' to 422'–424', timing was essential.

Our team planned and executed the seawall repairs during this limited window, stabilizing the shoreline and protecting the property from erosion while preserving its natural waterfront setting.

Projects on Candlewood Lake require more than standard construction practices. Limited access, environmental considerations, and precise scheduling all played a role in how this renovation was executed. By carefully sequencing work and using proven materials, we were able to deliver a project that balances structural integrity, aesthetic appeal, and respect for the surrounding landscape.

In addition to the main home, the detached garage was fully integrated into the renovation. New vinyl shake siding and coordinated exterior details ensured the garage visually matched the home, creating a cohesive and unified property design.

The completed renovation revitalized the home while maintaining its character and relationship to the lake. From the updated exterior envelope to the restored seawall, every improvement was made with longevity, performance, and craftsmanship in mind — ensuring this Candlewood Lake home is prepared for many years of lakeside living.

Beyond the visible improvements, this renovation reflects our deep experience working on complex waterfront properties. Every decision — from material selection to construction timing — was made with the long-term performance of the home in mind. By addressing structural needs, weather exposure, and shoreline conditions together, we were able to deliver a solution that not only enhances the home today, but protects its value for decades to come.
