Designed for comfort and everyday use, the remodel blends practical layout improvements with clean, modern finishes to create a multi-purpose space for the entire household. It began as a raw, unfinished space with exposed insulation, concrete floors, and a layout that limited functionality. The homeowners wanted to create a comfortable and inviting extension of their living space — a place that would feel like part of the home rather than an afterthought. Our goal was to reimagine the lower level into a series of purposeful rooms with clear zones for entertainment, fitness, and relaxation.
The new movie room serves as the centerpiece of the renovation. Featuring a built-in counter with seating, recessed lighting, and a full wall designed for a large mounted TV, the space offers a true home-theater atmosphere. Clean lines, soft carpeting, and a cohesive paint scheme help the room feel warm and modern, perfect for family gatherings or hosting friends.
Adjacent to the entertainment area, we created a dedicated workout space with durable hardwood flooring, open wall space for exercise equipment, and ample lighting. The contrasting flooring not only defines the fitness zone but also provides the durability needed for gym use.
A brand-new full bathroom was added to the lower level, complete with a custom tile tub surround, sliding glass shower doors, ceramic tile flooring, and a modern vanity with stone countertop. This addition makes the basement fully functional for day-to-day living and adds significant value to the home.
Throughout the basement, all new walls, insulation, electrical, HVAC modifications, and finishes were installed, resulting in a bright, comfortable, and completely revitalized lower level. What was once unused space is now a thoughtfully designed environment with multiple zones for entertainment, fitness, and practical living.
