To Whom It May Concern: We hired “Casali Companies” to renovate our unfinished basement. We added a large playroom, exercise room, bedroom, and full bathroom. We were absolutely thrilled with the job done by Jim and his team. Needless to say, the completed basement looks fantastic. However, what was even more pleasing to us was the working relationship we had with Jim along the way. To say that Jim is responsive would be a gross understatement. Whether it was a simple question, a problem, or a change in the original plans, Jim was exceptionally available, patient, and reliable. In any large project, miscommunications happen. With Jim, although few and far between, when a mistake was made, no matter how small or trivial, it was corrected IMMEDIATELY. In our hiring of a high-end contractor, we made the assumption that the tile, floors, etc. would be done properly (which they were). What we really needed was a partner who would be accountable for the entire project from start to finish in addition to providing exceptional craftsmanship. If that is what you are looking for, I would hire Jim without hesitation. On the last day of the job, Jim called me to let me know that he gave us back the key to our house. However, I made him come pick it up because moving forward if there is anything we need, we trust him to have full access to our property. I can’t think of a better endorsement than that.

It was a pleasure to have worked directly with Jim Casali. His professionalism was obvious from the first time we met. Jim showed his expertise at the planning stage, during the construction, and well beyond the completion of the project at our lake home. When working in the existing part of our home Jim’s team plastic wrapped everything and sealed off the area with a wall of plastic tarp. The team cleaned up daily and was extremely conscientious of the furniture, floors and walls. I enjoyed an active collaboration throughout the entire project with Jim. Unlike other contractors Jim was available after hours and on the weekends by phone or to meet for discussions. I am the first to admit I require more interaction and handholding than most. Jim was always available for me. There were plenty of 9:00 pm calls to discuss this or that. The most important aspect of building an addition or new construction is being able to trust your contractor, your partner in the project. After hearing all the horror stories I thank the lucky stars I decided to choose Jim Casali. Jim’s building practices aren’t just about the construction. Jim’s gift is recognizing the wants and needs of his clients and executing them properly. We discussed options and together made the best decisions for our project. His workmanship was outstanding, that of great craftsman. My wife and I are ecstatic with our 3,000sf addition and have gained more than just a contractor we have gained a friend. I would recommend Jim Casali without question.

I made a decision to move from Dallas, Texas to Connecticut, and purchased an almost 200-year-old house in New Milford. We knew there were many renovations to be done to the house and property as it had been neglected an earlier owners and the property allowed to fall into foreclosure. There were broken pipes throughout, ceilings that had been water-damaged, rotting floors, broken windows and many other things that had to be updated. We knew our trips back and forth from Texas to Connecticut would be very few so we needed a contractor whom we could entrust with the tremendous responsibility to making our old farm house a comfortable and safe home.
